Assignment #4: What is new media?

If you want to ask a very broad question than this is a perfect example!!! New media has so many different forms and functions so rather than only explain I will show it.... These are some of the elements of new media today and these are just a few examples because the list goes on and on. New media consists of not only new technology but also of networking. New media provides new innovations to the same old tasks that we always have done and also will do but much quicker and and with new gadgets. For instance the networking sites such as facebook, myspace, and twitter allows us to keep in contact with friends or meet new friends without traveling, without letters or phone calls. Also regular e-mails and instant messaging do these same things. We also have new technology which have all these elements of instant messaging, emailing, music, finding maps and etc. New media has a plathara of options when it comes to technology. It is difficult to find a key definition of what new media is because it is so broad but now a days it seems like almost everything is tied into new media. Its all around us so although its hard to define we're able to recognize it.

Introducing Rosalie B.

Hello, My name is Rosalie. I am 22 years old and a senior at Brooklyn College. I live in both Brooklyn and Long Island and work in Manhattan. Yeah, I know, a whole lot of traveling for me. Let's see I like long walks on the beach, midnight conversations, and perfect sunsets. Just a little humor. I been attending Brooklyn College for 2 years and previously received my A.A in Business Administration at BMCC. My major at Brooklyn College is Business, Management. and Finance and I am minoring in Accounting. I am currently employed as a baker in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, I do all type of decorations for birthdays, holidays, and weddings. So if anyone is celebrating their birth or a marriage anytime soon let me know. I also work as a part- time caterer and bartender, times are hard and you have to grab ever opportunity you can get. Some of my hobbies are running, basketball, scrabble, reading, drawing, but most of all learning. I consider myself very open minded and inquisitive, the world has a lot to show you and its good to take it in strides.
